With only three months left until the transfer window reopens, it's vital we know well in advance which players are going to go where.

But relax, with our daily rumours round-up you won't miss a single moment of gossip. Here's Wednesday's edition to whet your appetites...

Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote has informed the club of his intention to leave, according to the Sun.

The Ivorian hit the headlines earlier in the week when he married Doukrou Laeticia in his homeland, despite the sly dog already having a wife and mistress back in the North East.

It now seems Tiote is keen to ditch his domestic troubles by switching clubs, but admits that staying in England (hinting heavily at Arsenal) is preferable to a move to Russia.

Caught Offside reckons Liverpool are set to fork out £8m to secure the signature of MK Dons starlet Dele Alli.

The Reds have been chasing Alli for some time and are hoping they can break the Dons' resolve by offering the midfielder back to the League One side on loan.

The 18-year-old rose through the ranks at the side formerly known as Wimbledon, scoring 14 times in 56 games.

Liverpool are also keen on ex-Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, claims the Express, and could put the Gunners' transfer plans in jeopardy by acquiring the Argentine in a deal worth more than £30m.

That would leave Higuain's club Napoli in pole position to land Porto star Jackson Martinez, who Arsene Wenger remains keen on despite signing dat guy (what's his name again?) for £16m on deadline day.

Real Madrid contract rebel Sami Khedira is on his way to the Premier League for free, says the Daily Star.

The German has turned down fresh terms at Santiago Bernabeu in search of a Prem payday and both Arsenal and Chelsea are preparing to sign him for nowt next summer, on the expiry of his deal with the Spanish giants.

LONDON, ENGLAND - SEPTEMBER 24: Mohamed Salah of Chelsea is tackled by Neil Danns of Bolton during the Captial One Cup Third Round match between Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on September 24, 2014 in London, England. (Photo by Richard Heathcote/Getty Images)

The Express reports that Tottenham are lining up a £13m move for Chelsea's Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah in January.

The 22-year-old only arrived at Stamford Bridge from FC Basel in January, but is keen to secure more playing time.

Joining Spurs may seem like a step down for Salah, but even White Hart Lane is better than mandatory military service, right?

DORTMUND, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 24: Neven Subotic of Dortmund controles the ball during the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart at Signal Iduna Park on September 24, 2014 in Dortmund, Germany. (Photo by Alex Grimm/Bongarts/Getty Images)

Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels may have delivered Manchester United a blow by revealing his disinterest in a move abroad, but United are undeterred in their quest to land someone (anyone) from the German giants.

The Mirror claims they are lining up Hummels' team-mate Neven Subotic as one possible alternative (along with Aston Villa's Ron Vlaar, would you believe?), though there's always Mathias Ginter or Sokratis Papastathopoulos should that move fall on deaf ears.

Just like an involuntary erection on public transport, the name Arturo Vidal refuses to go away.

The Metro reports that Manchester United will again attempt to lure the midfielder to Old Trafford in January, along with his Juventus team-mate Angelo Ogbonna in a £51m double swoop.

The paper claims manager Louis van Gaal has been handed sizeable funds to strengthen his side in the New Year and has already set to work on potential deals for Vidal and Ogbonna - whose power and physicality make him a primary defensive target.
